What Is Meridian Muscle Reset?

ABOUT MERIDIAN MUSCLE RESET

Meridian Muscle Reset (MMR) is a specialised muscle-focused approach developed to address areas of persistent muscle tension and muscle-related pain.

It combines targeted hands-on muscle treatment with a broader understanding of movement and myofascial connections. MMR can be used alongside physiotherapy assessment and clinical reasoning to help address the factors that may be contributing to pain, stiffness and movement difficulties.

The MMR Approach

MMR focuses on muscles and their relationships with movement, while remaining part of a broader physiotherapy-based approach to assessment and care.

Muscle-Focused Treatment

We focus on areas of persistent muscle tension and muscle-related pain using targeted hands-on treatment.

Myofascial Connections

We consider how different areas of the body may be connected through movement and myofascial relationships.

MMR can be incorporated alongside physiotherapy assessment and clinical reasoning, depending on your symptoms and treatment needs.

Who May Benefit From MMR?

MMR may be considered when muscle tension or muscle-related factors appear to be contributing to persistent pain, stiffness or movement difficulties.

Persistent Muscle Tension

Muscle tightness or tension that keeps returning or affects movement and comfort.

An Integrated Approach to Your Care

MMR is not intended to replace physiotherapy assessment. It can be incorporated into your treatment when a muscle-focused approach is appropriate.
We first consider your symptoms, movement, physical findings and goals. From there, MMR may be used alongside other physiotherapy approaches, depending on what we believe is appropriate for you.
